Do you offer Gluten Free Options on your menu?

Yes we do offer gluten friendly options on our ala carte menu, and we even offer a gluten friendly set menu.

What does ‘gluten-friendly’ mean?

We call all our gluten free food ‘gluten friendly’ because even though the actual food items on our menu are free of gluten and are safe for coeliacs, our kitchen does have items in it that are gluten based, therefore there is the slightest chance, however unlikely of cross contamination

What should I do if I have severe and dangerous allergies?

We cannot guarantee 100% against cross-contamination in our small kitchen. If your allergy is very dangerous, we recommend not taking the risk and not coming in to Vandal.

Do you cater for people with nut allergies?

Whilst we do our absolute best to follow up on booking requests, please notify our staff when you are ordering in the restaurant of any nut allergies.

Almonds and Cashews are the only nuts in our kitchen - so if you have an extremely sensitive allergy to those two nuts, whilst we are confident in our ability to service you, please be aware of the potential for cross contamination.

Do you cater for an allium diet?

For people who have to follow an allium free diet, I am sorry we are unable to accomodate this request. We recommend not booking with us.

I am sensitive to garlic…

If you tell us that you’re sensitive to garlic, please don’t come in as there is nothing much we can do to accomodate you - sorry

I am sensitive to onions…

If you tell us that you’re sensitive to onions, please don’t come in, there’s nothing much we can do to accomodate you …

I am allergic to coriander…

If you tell us that you’re allergic to coriander, please don’t come in, there’s nothing we can do to accomodate you … BUT… if you don’t like coriander - now that’s a different story - we can simply not add fresh coriander to the top of your dishes.

I am allergic to chilli…

We do mexican inspired cuisine. Almost everything has a degree of chilli in it. If you are allergic to chilli and its relatives, then we are sorry we cannot accomodate you, however if you don't like chilli - I would still reconsider coming in as almost everything has an element of spice to it, ranging from very mild to a medium heat.
